The Progression of a “Glo” Getter

I knew from an early age that makeup would be my freedom of expression. Makeup allows me to communicate how I am feeling and turn it into something people can enjoy.

I have always been into beauty, since my mother sold Avon and Mary Kay and my grandmother was a licensed cosmetologist. I knew this was the path that I myself would travel as well. Makeup allowed me to be myself and find my inner and outer beauty, and this was a gift. I decided that everyone should enjoy the same gift that I have gained through years of training and experience.

My company and brand, SchianaxBeauty, has grown rapidly and I can’t help but be proud and grateful. With all the blessing I’ve received, I hope my venture continues to grow and be successful. The content I usually produce is centered around video tutorials and bookings, but I’ve decided to offer makeup application and brush-cleaning classes that allow people to get their glo and express themselves freely and in a sanitary manner.  This change in direction does not mean a change in vision but an addition to it.

I’ve been inspired by the people who taught me to love myself and love what I do. I’d like to give back and give that same inspiration to those around me.

The beauty industry has always been around, from TV, modeling, movies and even major events. The beauty industry plays a role in how people feel, and unfortunately beauty can come across as exclusive and not inclusive. I feel like it’s time for a change. It’s time to make people pleased with their flaw. My classes are about helping people be more confident in the way they look and enhancing the beautiful features they already have.

Why teach someone how to do makeup? To have a working knowledge and the ability to help someone grow not only a skill set. Those skills help them enhance themselves and market themselves in different fields. My master class will give people the skills they need to create the looks they want not just for special events, but for the everyday looks. The goal is to empower people to take the world into their own hands and add beauty with every brush stroke.
